Our goal at Birnie Bus is not to generate the most numbers, but to ensure efficient and quality transportation. Birnie Bus Service, Inc. provides services for school districts, tour groups, corporate travel, public transportation and handicapped services throughout New York State, including Oneida, Madison, Lewis, Herkimer, Onondaga and Otsego Counties. Learn more.
Eligibility. If you reside, work, or attend school in Herkimer/Oneida County, New York, you are eligible to participate in the Challenge.
Timeframe. The Car Free Challenge will run from September 22 until October 5, 2016.
Registration. Once registration is open, you can register at any time before or during the challenge. Make sure to select Herkimer/Oneida County.
Eligibility for Prizes. You may enter the Challenge and be eligible for prizes by visiting www.carfreechallenge.wordpress.com, and logging your daily efforts there.
All entries eligible for the Grand Prize Drawing must be logged before the cut off time of 11:59pm on October 5th, 2016. You must participate at least 4 days out of 14 days in order to be eligible for the Grand Prize Drawing.
Daily winners of daily prizes will be drawn from the previous day’s entries (due by midnight of each day).
Alternatively you may enter by sending or dropping off a 3×5 card with your name, address, e-mail address or phone number, and description of Car-Free daily efforts to The Parkway Center, 220 Memorial Parkway, Utica, NY 13501. Paper entries must be received by October 5th, 2016, at 11:59pm.
Daily Prizes. 14 daily prizes valued at various amounts. One Grand Prize will be awarded at the Grand Prize Drawing on October 6th.
Prize Drawings. A random drawing will be held approximately 1 business day after the close of each day’s entries to select daily winners. A random drawing will also be held on a date (to be determined) to determine winners of the Grand Prize. Organizers will notify each potential winner by e-mail or phone within 24 hours following the drawing.
Odds of Winning. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible people participating in the Challenge. Each day logged with Car-Free efforts counts as an entry. The more days logged by an individual, the greater the odds of winning a prize. Limit one log per day per participant.
Restrictions. Prizes are nonrefundable. The prizes may not be replaceable if lost, damaged or stolen. Sponsor is not required to (but may at its sole discretion) offer any substitutions, cash redemptions, or alternative to prizes awarded under this Contest. All prizes awarded are subject to the restrictions and limitations noted in these Official Rules, on the prizes and/or included with the prizes. Employees of The Parkway Center and their family members are ineligible to receive prizes.
